Insane prices on these, but the site is overloaded so you're going to have to be patient to checkout.

I got a Para 3 Maxamet, Shaman, and Maxix 2 for $216 shipped

I think Free Shipping is at $150.

Having to create an account and get through all of their checkout was killing me with the delays. Didn't think that it was going to go through. But got a Manix which I've wanted for a while and an Efficient as a give-away. Would have rather had the G10 Manix which was sold out but for $37 not going to complain.

Got a black manix, blue manix, and a black para 3 g10. I'm going to give the best ones away as gifts to family and keep whatever one is most blemished.

Anyone know if these are going to come in Spyderco boxes since they are factory seconds?

I would probably disagree, it's not like their stuff won't sell, their MSRP has always been inflated and most models don't sell for MSRP unless it's brand new. Remember these are factory seconds too. No returns, no warranties, etc.

There is a lot of competition from quality brands made offshore (including some spyderco's). I would agree though there has been a lot of good prices in the last week.

The real issue is that the company became extremely greedy with profit margins in the past few years, a stark change from previous years. Just happened to coincide with changing generational hands. Now it has all blown up in their faces

The reason you're seeing all the deals is because Spyderco is having a MAP holiday. Usually retailers can give a max discount of 30 percent off Spyderco knives, but this is currently waived. Once it's over, the prices are going to go back to what they were before.

FYI - The amount of time it took to get through the account creation and checkout process while the website is getting hammered, wasn't worth the sale price of blemished knives with no warranties. I only wanted a para3, ended up giving up by the time I got to the shipping page.
