Note that Acer' Ebay store is a separate entity, Acer would not recognize them as official.

The ebay store is notorious for selling dented, scratched units with mediocre battery. Do not expect pristine condition refurbished units as you would usually get in from manufacturers.

I bought Acer Nitro 5 from them, and the battery turned out to be faulty. It was a little over the return window, they wouldn't honor it. Not to mention the unit was noticeably used and scratched

Thanks OP - I was kinda peeved about not finding that perfect deal all throughout BF/CM. Then your post alert saved the day! For the solid build quality and specs I'm comfortable with the compromises, especially at under $400. Great find.

I bought two refurbished Acer Chromebooks back in March and June 2022 in Acer Ebay shop. Both Chromebooks were shipped in non-Acer official packing wrapped in a giant plastic bubble envelop. Both Chromebooks were in mint condition without obvious scratches or dents. However, I noticed that one of the Chromebook's backcover has been opened before. This opened Chromebook stopped powering up after 35 days which had just passed the return window. Acer offered 90-days warrantee for my purchase. I shipped back the item (in my own cost) and got repaired within 2 weeks (in Acer's cost). Both Chromebooks work well now.

I also placed an order for this Acer Swift 3 to replace my window desktop. Hope my shopping experience with Acer Ebay helps you all.

I got the same message but could not see anything different. I just checked and made sure the price was the same and the discount was still active then refreshed the page and completed my purchase.

EDIT: If you scroll down to the description there's a a line that shows when the description was last updated : Last updated on Nov 28, 2022 23:49:36 PST and there's also a link there you can click to "View all revisions"

Looks like it was nothing more than an update of the quantity available

Wanted to get this laptop but according to multiple reviews the battery life is not good, which is expected from the 12th gen p series 28w vs other chips with the usual 15w! Reviewers of this laptop got 3-6 hours of battery life and mentioned noisy fans. If you want a powerful laptop and don't mind the 28w output I would get it for the price. The 1240p chip is very powerful and great for many tasks.

Is there some way to check on Acer laptops how many battery charging cycles have been used up? On a HP laptop I had, there was some program (HP Support Assistant?) that showed how many battery cycles had been used. Wondering if Acer laptops have something similar.

Get a detailed battery report in Windows 11

If you're interested in getting more technical info about your battery usage and estimated capacity, you can use the Powerfg command-line option that's built into Windows 11 to generate a battery report.

Select Search on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes.

At the command prompt, type powercfg /batteryreport, then press Enter.

The battery report will be an HTML file that's stored in a folder on your PC. The file location will be shown in the Command Prompt window.

Open File Explorer, go to the folder that the report was saved to, and then double-click the battery report (HTML file) to open it in your web browser.

You can get a lot of detailed info about your battery usage and capacity. Some particular sections you might want to look at to get started include the following: Installed battery, Recent usage, and Battery usage.

Acer website advertises 10.5 hours of max battery life vs 16 hours compared to previous gen

However, according to reviews expect under 6 hours of battery life on lowest settings and loud fan noise:
