The elusive 5800x3D was sold out everywhere after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While Amazons price for it only went up, I've found it in stock for MSRP at Gamestop.

It's not cheaper if you're already on the AM4 socket
I would suggest going with the 7600x if you are building a new system, because you are reducing the cost/need of repurchasing the motherboard and RAM in the future for upgrading. The 7600x is better at single core by quite a bit anyway, and is only slightly worse (like 1%) at multi-core. So if you don't have a system running something in the previous chip connector already (like a Ryzen 2000, 3000, or 5000 series CPU or APU), then it makes sense to build with the future in mind and get the 7600x.

TL;DR: If you have something this slots into already and want to upgrade cheaply, buy this. If not, buy the 7600x.
But... the 13600k loses quite a bit of performance with ddr4. Only consider the 13600k if you use ddr5 and are building a new rig and do productivity work. Otherwise the 5800x3d is best for if you want cheap and the 7600x is cheaper at the same gaming performance.

If you have the money go for the 7600x but if not this is a great choice 👌

Replaced my 5800X w/ this a few weeks back, didn't expect to notice, but in stuff I play like Hitman 3 and Cities:Skylines, the difference is pretty substantial, especially when it comes to framerate stability. Great chip for the price, better if they throw in the Uncharted bundle.

Just wanted to stop in and say there was a 20% Cashback offer for GameStop which brings not only this chip but several others to an insanely good deal. Looks like it also works on the 7000 series chips.

I personally went for the 5800x3d since I'm already on the AM4 platform but if I was rebuying I would have gotten the 7700x for $350 with 20% Cashback.

I don't think we're supposed to state other Cashback websites explicitly. Try some of the more common ones? Rak something comes to mind.

But you also have to factor in the price of a mobo. If you're not switching platforms, this is the way to 5800X3D is the way to go
