It was $170 even without buy-now-pay-later (even cheaper if you did the Zip route), and the 6700 XT is only 13% faster [techpowerup.com], but at the price point in this deal, it's much more than 13% more expensive.
I think it's also telling that the 6650 XT deal sold out in hours whereas this deal is still in-stock as of now.
They'd just refund you the difference of the original amount and the cost of the video game codes. That's why they put the exact dollar amount of the game codes in your invoice and list it as a separate order with its own "discount".
Really so if I spent $319 they subtract $119 for the game value and I only get $200 back?

After reading, I think it's ambiguous and not sure what to expect.
"Manufacturer
Promotional Products
and Newegg Gifts
Manufacturers may offer free promotional products with their
products. To receive a full refund on a purchase that includes promotional products, all products must be returned. The cost of any promotional products not returned will be deducted from the refund total. Newegg may also offer gifts to valued customers for their continued support as well as for special giveaways. These gifts are not part of any purchase value and therefore do not have to be returned."
This shows in my invoice as an AMD gift and cost $0. So I would think I'd still be refunded 100%. it also shows up as a separate order number, so again I would think me returning a different order number in full would still be 100% refunded. maybe I can keep the games then?
Even neweg gifts say they don't have to be returned. So I wonder how they handle this. What a pain. I literally bought this sapphire card since it said fully refundable until Jan 31. If they know they won't refund the cost of the games then it isn't fully refundable.
what do other companies like amazon do? they're including the games too.

FWIW, I only tried this once years ago and got hit with the policy I described earlier, similar to this story: https://consumerist.com/2012/12/0...ideo-game/. Newegg could've definitely changed their policies, especially after the recent backlash they've received for various anti-consumer practices.
Also, I've found one recent comment from Newegg themselves within the last year that says digital gifts are free to keep, so you may be right and get the full refund: https://www.reddit.com/r/Newegg/c...&context=3
I haven't had to do this for Amazon so I can't speak to that, but other e-retailers like antonline does what I mentioned earlier.

Thanks for your input on this, it's helpful. I just did a dummy return and didn't submit it. It showed the full refund and didn't mention including the game codes. Who knows. Uhg, Newegg.
Thanks. Yeah I bought the non xt version of 6700. Since xt is just a little more (or less with affirm) I wouldn't mind getting that if my return would go thru "hassle free" as neweg says.
instead of guessing about the MIR try reading the instructions
