You're getting tools mixed, I think. 35 ft/lbs is the same as the standard Milwaikee M12 ratchet that's used in a huge amount of automotive garages. This is to be used as a ratchet only, and can use any socket type. Hand break bolts and spin them off with the trigger.

For the power tasks, you are looking for an impact wrench, which requires impact rated sockets. For that, there is a Ryobi mid-torque that will scratch that itch, but it won't fit in crevices of an engine compartment.

Different tools and power limits for different applications. Taking wheels off? Impact wrench all day long. Getting to a bolt in the engine bay? Use the ratchet and save your knuckles.

I have 3 of these in the Husky brand. These are one of the most useful and time saving machines in my tool box. No more cranking on a nut 500 times to get it off. Zip them off in seconds. No more only being able to make 2 clicks and spending too much time on that one hard to reach bolt. Unless I am doing something heavy duty, I rarely reach for the old manual tool.

You're supposed to break bolts loose with this like you would with a regular ratchet using your own strength. Then, you use the power to spin the bolt out.

I should have waited! I went ahead yesterday from the direct tools. This is much better deal.

I guess I'm just going to wait forever for the 3/8 extended brushless ratchet to go on some sort of sale.

35ft/lbs is kind of pointless no? Or at least for pretty tiny bolts.

Power is underwhelming… and I'm in the Ryobi line being a novice DIYer but for a ratchet I would get something brushless/stronger

This was on clearance for $40 last year, but didn't include the socket set.

You can just call DT and cancel the order. I have done that a couple of times before. It's pretty easy.

If you have another $100 to spend just get the Milwaukee. You won't regret it whatsoever. I have this since I'm invested in Ryobi. But just sits in my box and I always reach for the Milwaukee. Don't get me wrong for some stuff is ok. But the size weight and power from the Milwaukee can't compare with this Ryobi.
The milwaukee ones are all 35 as well, until you get to the $270 model that does 55

Dang I got the 1/4" and 3/8" for $83 on a hack deal. This seems pricey.

Ah, kinda what i was imagining this being for, seems like it'd just be a tool in the way, if i do the hard part why bother with switching for the easy part, other than shaving some time i guess…
