I received this TV today Dec 06

Delivery: I signed up for text notifications. They sent a text each step of the delivery.

It arrived on a large box truck. It was carried to my porch by 2 delivery drivers. No signature required.
The TV in the box is fairly heavy. You will need another individual to help carry it.

The box has 3 nylon ties straps around it.

The box does not need to be cut. Once the straps are removed simply lift the box up from its base the TV is in.

The legs on this are solid metal with rubber footing across it so it won't scratch wood.

The legs can be mounted in two locations depending on how you want it setup.
If you want a narrow setup, the legs can mount to the inside mounts. The spacing between the legs in this setup is spaced at exactly 24 inches.
I did not set it up with the legs on the outer brackets. But the out brackets are likely pushing 67". The outer brackets can be mounted at a higher point or lower point to give room for a soundbar underneath the TV. The inner brackets do not have this option.
The TV took about 20 minutes to setup, with our Gmail account.

It has a beautiful picture. Not as clear and deep and clear as our LG C2 65". But it still much much better than the TCL 4 series 75" we upgraded from.
Our firecube recognized everything immediately and setup the controls for the TV.
It does have a shiny screen VS matte.

Overall I think it has a beautiful picture. I am glad I didn't spend the extra $1000+ on a OLED 77"

Agreed. LG C1 77 for $1300 is an absolute steal on a tv that will produce an even better picture than this highly rated Sony.
I have seen LG B2 65 for $1298 w/ 5 years warranty. Can someone share any deal with LG C2 77"?

Where can you buy a 77 C1 for $1300 though?

I bought this tv a month ago. Have it mounted. It's bright, great hdr dolby etc. Of course only real complaint is the blacks. Wondering how it compares to an A1 lg oled. Seems like a fair comparison. Any feedback would be appreciated to see if I keep or return. So it's a great tv but at this price point, is there better is the question?
Do you see the grid patterns across the screen?

Yeah I was going to say who is selling c1 77 for $1300. I bet no one. I'd jump on it if that was the case.

Rtings.com mentions this con: "Some uniformity issues in dark scenes."

Anyone have any opinion about this in real world usage?

Got this one. Will return the Costco x90ck. I think the sound on this will be better and the anti reflective coating will also be helpful compared to x90ck. It's a shame that Costco doesn't carry this model or there's not a comparable model for this year.

Had it in my cart. Decided to wait and then it went out of stock 30 minutes later

Might be better to wait for the K series when they go on sale early next year

Lol noone is. You can get a B2 for $2k or a C1 for maybe $2200 and C2 for $2400....haven't seen much better.

So you're talking $700-$1200 more...which is a solid amount.

If you're a movie buff with a huge collection of BluRays or a cutting edge gamer I think that paying close to double would be worth it. If you're a normal person looking for a well made 75 inch screen this is a pretty nice deal. This thing has a $3000 MSRP last year.

This or 77 inches a80j. I know oleds have some pros but I have a bright room. So that scares me a little bit. Please lmk what you think. Mostly watch movies and sports.

Thanks
I bought this TV on the last sale. Very happy with the purchase. I have a bright living room and the tv perform awesome. I have it on standard settings most of the time and turn on vivid setting if need more colors and contrast. On top, the TV speakers are good. The next model up would be X75x95k but you might have to wait a while for the price to drop on that.

It's so minimal that you won't pull your hair out over it. Don't be looking for it and your eyes won't notice.

You might have to wait until late next year for the x95k to drop half the price. Maybe if they are coming out with something like X95L.
