I don't think this is a good deal. I ordered a bunch of 144.5 oz bottles yesterday from Amazon for less than $6.

This is not the same. Arm & Hammer is bottom of the barrel when it comes to detergents. Please know your products before commenting.

I tried Tide Simply clean and fresh yellow bottle a few years ago. It was very watered down detergent. Unless it has changed since then, if you are looking for original red bottle Tide detergent, you may be disappointed.

Yup. Past CR detergent tests found the lower tier (less expensive) Tide options had *no* more cleaning power than the economy brands but they still charged a premium. These are the infamous tests that found Kirkland and Persil better values with similar cleaning power to all but the most expensive (highest concentration) Tide option.

I find no difference between tide and other cheaper brands and even compared to the old powered soap so to each their own.

Original red bottle Tide detergent may be good for people with a lot of stains from job, kids, etc. We don't have a lot of stains in general, so I am not brand royal to Tide detergent. However, I use less than half of recommend amount of any liquid laundry detergent. It seems to clean clothes fine.
