This shouldn't even be considered a letter opener! The "blade" is so dull that my $2 Walmart letter opener puts this to shame. The quality of the product itself looks like a doll toy. I expected the hilt to be wrapped but it's just a cheap sticker and the stand is cheap plastic. Some of the paint is chipped as well.
If it wasn't on sale, I would've immediately returned this, but the process of doing so would be a hassle.
If this is the quality produced for a cheap samurai sword "letter opener," I wonder if their katana replicas are any better!"..
But for a buck I figured WTH and got one.. thinking I'd hand wrap it and sharpen the blade. I do knives, sword's, scissors, tools.. no problem.. Well IT'S WORSE that even that review says! The "paint" is a sticker and the blade just crumbles, can't even sharpen w sandpaper. So.. donate $1 or 2 to wikipedia or something instead..
