You navigate into setting>home content and just turn off every toggle you dont want. News, new products, suggested actions, reorders, etc etc etc. The ONLY content that shows on my echo show 8 is the weather, and my gallery of photos.
Not a single ad, no suggested content, nothing.

"Previously, Prime members could search for and stream nearly two million songs and also download songs for offline listening. But that option is no longer available unless users upgrade to Amazon Music's unlimited plan.....Now, Prime members can only listen to individual songs if they pay $9 per month for Amazon Music Unlimited"
As an Amazon product, these CONSTANTLY insist I rebuy things.... our Echo Show just displays my previously purchased products (reorder?).... and "free" Amazon music is one or two songs, followed by ads and constant nagging to "want to purchase Amazon music subscription?"
My family nags me enough... don't need to buy a robot to do it too....

Link Alexa with your Wyze Account
Add Alexa to your Wyze account by following the steps below:
Open up the Wyze app, go into your Account settings, then tap on "Smart Integrations" to link Alexa to your Wyze account.
You can also link your Wyze account by asking Alexa to "Enable Wyze skill". If you have not downloaded the Alexa app you can download it from the App Store or Google Play store or go to alexa.amazon.com to search for and enable the Wyze skill.
Once enabled, follow the on-screen instructions to link your Wyze account to Alexa. You will be prompted to enter your Wyze username and password to authorize Alexa to access your camera.
Select Add Device so that Alexa can find your camera. You can also say, "Discover my devices". After Alexa finds your camera, it's listed under Devices in the Smart Home section of the Alexa app.
It appears that kid mode can just be turned off but I wanted to ask the experts if there is any other functional difference other than the loud chameleon print.
Thank you!
I have since switched to an echo link for the stereo. It also has the ability to stream your own music from CDs or whatever you plug into it to the other Echo's in your home. I am creating stereo pairs of them in each room, so have 12 now.
Also, I hate the Show 5. It is too small to read anything on it except the time, and sound quality is only fair compared to the 8 or a full size Echo. My second gen 5 is slow and doesn't hear well either. It came bundled with a Ring floodlight. After using it a week, I returned the second one without ever opening it. I will trade this one in on a bigger screen echo in the future.
The Bluetooth link turning off with the stereo doesn't interest me a bit. Why on earth would I want to listen to music through a crappy little echo when I could be listening to it in stereo on a much larger and better sounding system?
