Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

If you got the deal, lucky, etc. this is not about that. I owned this model and wanted to give info:

- The CPU performs below the level of a below-average mobile i7-12700H (yes H version). Cinebench R23 ~12k pts. A full 12700 is supposed to be ~21K pts. With all adjustable settings maxed via BIOS, Windows power settings, Intel XTU, the most performance I could squeeze out of this CPU was ~18k pts.
- The i7-12700H in my Acer Helios Predator 300 laptop hits ~18k pts stock settings in high fan modes.
- The GPU probably works fine, DDR4 RAM, etc. whatever
- The CPU is highly performance limited because Lenovo limits max temp to 90C (you cannot bypass this as far as I know, nor would I really want to). Lenovo limits the CPU power settings (PL1, PL2, PL1 time) below Intel's specifications, probably to achieve temperature/thermal constraints within the relatively small case.

That said, I do like the look of the case, a simpler and classier 'gamer' design. But just be forewarned you're not getting the full fat i7-12700 experience out of this CPU, at least with stock cooler/software constraints

While your information is true and useful, I somehow get the impression you want to cheer people up after their order cancelations.

My card initially got declined when I ordered it so I might have to call them to switch the payment... did this happen to anyone else? I approved the purchase by text but I got it shipped to store and currently says on my order details: "Payment method AMEX 0.00" so I don't think it went through.

Has anyone dealt with this and should I call? I'm worried they may cancel if I do. Thanks!

For situations like this, unfortunately, the order does not go through and you will have to order again…. And since it's OOS… sorry for your loss.

Congrats to all who were able to snatch one. As for the rest of us, who can we realistically price match this with? I know Best Buy uses a completely different model number for this same computer, so that's probably a no-go. Will Lenovo.com price match?

I ordered at 7:05pm ET. Credit card says pending. Staples doesn't say shipped but also not canceled.

I found a teardown video on YouTube and these are NOT really upgradable because they use a bunch of proprietary components - Case, MB, PSU are all proprietary. Can't even use a normal case or power supply without jerry-rigging. You can do small mods or swap the graphics card, add RAM or change the HDD but otherwise I only recommend you buy this if you'll be more or less happy as-is.

Just to be clear - it's a really good deal but expect limited upgradability.
Yep, the Lenovo Legion series is the upgradable.

Still impressive this only lasted 20 minutes lol

Can you give the bios and windows settings we can adjust to get the most power out of the CPU? Seems strange its throttled like that.
