I believe this is an error on HD when they included 2 5AH batteries instead of just 1 4AH battery when compare to other similar tool/trimmer.
HACKABLE: trimmer $65 and 2 5AH $93 (if you want that route)
The trimmer is an online item only, so you must have it ship to home/store

The XRU13Z is equipped with Automatic Speed Change technology which automatically shifts from 4,000-6,000 RPM adjusting the speed and torque depending on density of application. There are also 3 speed options in manual mode (4,000/5,000/6,000 RPM), allowing users to match the speed to the application. Users will get up to 38-minutes of run time on high setting and 103-minutes on low setting under load using an 18-Volt LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). Additional features include a full 11-3/4 cutting swath, an easy-loading bump-and-feed trimmer head, and reverse rotation that allows users to quickly clear the head of entangled grass and weeds. The trimmer accepts industry standard M8x1.25 LH spindles.

You have to add the free gift. Instead of a single battery, it adds a 2-pack of 5Ah batteries to the cart. But I'm seeing $177 total, not $159. In the cart, the batteries show a price of about $100 while the trimmer is about $77.

As one that has this trimmer- because it works well and I'm already invested in the batteries. I grabbed it instead of the Stihl gas powered trimmer every time this season. However, it's more for occasional use and not geared for someone that spends a lot of quality time with their trimmer.

I've always wanted to try this free gift hack. Let's see how it works. I placed the trimmer order which was ship to store, added 2 pack of 5ah batteries which were in stock at the store. And I already picked up the batteries. Will wait for trimmer to arrive and either ignore that until they automatically refund or I'll cancel the order if that doesn't happen. Usual instructions state to ship one item to one store and the other item to another store but they closed that loophole and now force to ship to same place. I hope this works because 2 brand new 5ah batteries for $99 is a slick deal for sure!

You can have both items shipped to different stores. The one you don't want (trimmer) you can just call and cancel, or frankly, don't do anything and they will put back on the shelf.

Thank you. My HD app and their web site force me to choose one store, so no splitting stores for me. But in this case the batteries were in stock so I picked them up. Then today, after what feels like a month, they canceled the trimmer. So it looks like I got 2 5.0mah batteries for $99. FTW!
