Tool only can be regularly had for $160-170 range despite the 199 msrp. This is an OK deal if you're desperate right now but it's not a great deal by any means.

I have this and it's definitely more powerful than a m12 fuel ratchet but it's a lot bulkier and has nowhere near the power of m12 stubby 2554-20

How does it do in hard to reach places?

I think this is the best price I've seen this wrench. Considering the included battery.

If there's a decent amount of room it's ok. If it's a tight area forget it. It's nice to have when a stubby impact is too big and a battery ratchet isn't powerful enough then bring out this guy.

The M12 stubby has 250 ft lbs of torque and this has 220 ft lbs of torque so I wouldn't say nowhere near. If properly right tightened your tire lugs this wrench should be able to break them loose which is impressive. The clearance is 2.2" plus your socket so hopefully that helps.

The specs are close but real world use is a very different story. Could not loosen my 140 ft lbs lug nuts with the right angle impact that were properly torqued.

it's a strange tool... i rarely use air/power tools doing automotive work, mostly cause i'm not doing it as a job, i'm doing it for pleasure. even the few times i've pulled out the air ratchet (knuckle buster), just break stubborn bolts loose with a breaker bar and switch to the ratchet to finish. mostly just where thing are in a tight enough area i can't swing a swivel head ratchet.

Same, while it's a want not a need tool for almost anyone but a hard core mechanic, when you're in a tight or no swing radius spot that it fits in and a real impact doesn't, it's amazing, but it's definitely not as strong as a straight impact by a good margin. Main use ive gotten out of it is caliper brackets and suspension parts wherre i dont want to bust my knuckles trying to pull a long bar in between a bunch of stuff.

I would tend to agree, it's a great tool when its needed, but it's definitely not in the same ballpark as any of the current compact impacts. A few years ago you could compare it reasonably to the impact driver based guns (there was an M12 and dewalt used to make the 89#s that were just 887s with an anvil) but todays shorty impacts are definitely in a different league of power.

This is best used for removing suspension related items as its small enough to fit there whereas the stubby is usually too long. Doesnt have the power of the stubby but will take most bolts off.

The head is too big for tight spots and the tool is too long.
