Every hifi loudspeaker manufacturer has $30k+ speakers these days. In fact the new impress the idiot price is now actually over $100k. It means nothing at all. Total foolishness, only a few companies are making $15-$35k speakers that deserve to cost anywhere near that much based on sound and really that is pushing it. (Like maybe a pair of KEF Blade1 Meta($35k), Maybe REVEL Salon2 ($24k) REVEL F328be($18k), Maybe Perlisten S7t ($18k), Maybe JBL K2's($48k) or M2's,($15k), Maybe Yamaha NS-5000($15k) or if I was absolutely billionaire rich but still wanted good engineering and not a complete and total cash grab something from TAD's top line($70k+)

That said I am curious this particular line and how they sound so I might buy a pair at this price.

No way I'm spending that much even if I had it. My ears aren't golden enough. I've tried Focal hp's but that's gonna be by limit. To each his own.

I sold Triangle speakers at an authorized dealer about 20 years ago and, yes, they are a legitimate high end brand.

At that time, the various bookshelf speakers had a very detailed sound with high resolution, speed, and a refined sound signature. They sounded very good. However, they tended to sound a bit thin and light. Perhaps a tad on the dry side, with a fast and dry bass that had very little bloat.

Compared to some other popular speakers of that time, like the Epos line, they were the yin to the yang of the Epos. Both very musical and satisfying in their way, but the Epos had more body, more heft to the sound. Maybe more of a sense of soul. The Triangle had more resolution and speed but, again, could tend to sound somewhat thin and light.

At the shop, the sales staff vacillated on which speakers sounded preferable, and it really came down to what mood any one of us were in on a given day. Sometimes I really enjoyed the resolution and speed that the Triangle was offering, but sometimes I wanted something meatier and more soulful, and the Triangle felt somewhat thin and unsatisfying on that day.

Having said that, these are observations from 20 years ago. I haven't followed Triangle much in the intervening years so I don't know if those characterizations of the Triangle sound are still valid. A lot can change in 20 years. Maybe others can comment on the current sound profile of Triangle speakers.

But I can say Triangle is a good brand and likely to satisfy you if the sound signature is right for your ear. This kind of thing also depends on smart system matching, so that you get the sound that you like without tipping it way over to one side or the other.

No. Once you reach about $700 you should be looking at something that is a three way instead of a two way, has a more advanced port design, built in amps, active crossovers with less heating and distortion instead of lossy/passive crossovers, and coaxial drivers so that the ceiling and floor reflections sound decent instead of ragged. These speakers have few of these characteristics and almost everyone would be better served by a Kali IN-5 and a subwoofer later.

Get these if you like. The aesthetic though. Almost anything is an upgrade from TV and laptop speakers.

If you're interested in audio quality though, it's basically Kali until you get to Genelec. KEF can be great too. Personally, after using coaxial speakers I will never go back.

Lol. Disregard this incorrect 🤡

Best description of what my Triangles (BR08) sound like. They're airy and nimble, like birds singing on a winter morning.

My Focals are warmer and livelier, like knocking on wood. My Klipsch are darker, thicker, "bloaty" in sound.

Those are two very different sound signatures, so you would have to listen for yourself to find which you prefer.

These are twice the price, rightfully so. Not sure it's a fair comparison, in that aspect IMO.

You are better off comparing them to Triangles Bro3's.

If you're looking to do HT with them, keep in mind JBL's matching center (520c)is a very weak link, finding a replacement can be a challenge.
side by side titus ez is far superior to 530. I noticed immediately better resolution and detail while being on the warmer side of neutral.
