A lot of crappy filler. Generally you can buy good steel drill bits about 4-6 dollars a piece.

I've had many sets over the years but this one has just about everything I've needed. I recently got some Ryobi kits but they're missing basics like a flat screwdriver bit.

This set has treated me so well for so many projects around the house that I'm going to get another. I think I paid roughly this same price years ago..Thanks!

Same. I think I've had this set for at least five years, and amazingly, i still have every piece.

Yes, I have higher quality bits for important uses, but for 99% of household projects, I just grab this. Unlike those hideous whiskey decanters posted the other day, this actually would make a great gift if you're looking.

And, before you laugh at the magnet, it's saved my butt several times.

These Bosch assortments are really well thought out for small install work. I have several of the 34 piece sets and the 91 has a nice layout. The 41 is an awkward middle child,

The case hinges are a weak point, but easy enough to mend with duct tape or plastic strips and keep going.

Update: Nevermind, I'm going with the Bosch set since I like that it includes the ratcheting screwdriver. The spade bits in the Avid Power set probably wouldn't be useful to me yet. And the Bosch pieces are hopefully higher quality, given the higher MSRP.

Anyone have input on how the 91-piece Bosch set for $29.50 compares to this 100-piece Avid Power set for $25.64 (after 5%-off coupon)? I'm a newb looking for my first set (along with looking for my first set of power tools). I've never heard of the Avid Power brand before.
