I just checked and was able to claim the $25 Verizon GC. You can apply it towards your bill. That is what i plan on doing.

Yeah it's completely YMMV. I have a basic post paid account and got the $25 gift card.

No 50% off coupon for the controller, but got one for the Buds 2 Pro and some JBL speaker.

I did this for about a year when I first switched to verizon with all of my BYOD bonus gift cards. I would pay all but like $3 with the gift cards and then let autopay hit that $3. The discount remained active using that method.

Have you ever tried applying GC and not having a balance for auto pay? When paypal key was expiring I paid $300 towards my bill and it carried me with a credit for many months and autopay couldn't have cared less about that.
