Make sure to select "Promo Kit" in the Style section. Beware - I can't guarantee this is the same as the regular Kit with battery and charger, but the pics and descriptions are exactly the same, so I rolled the dice!

Sun Joe 24V-MDTCR1-LTW-P2 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Metal Detector, 10-Inch High Accuracy Waterproof Search Coil, Digging Shovel & Carry Bag, Telescopic Rod, LED Display, Kit (w/ 1.3-Ah Battery + Charger)

Need Ryobi to do this
Radio Shack used to sell beginner's metal detectors for 30 bucks or so that were great for a kid to have fun with treasure hunting...even a bottle cap would be excited if discovered in that situation...$45 for a kid's Christmas gift would be an absolute blast, get them outside away from the cell phone and video games...
Holding out for a corded one.

This one's probably a great bottle-cap finder. Think about it. You'll go out speculating, and beep! You dig up something worthless. Again and again. That's why it's better to spend the big bucks and get something nice so what you do squat and dig for actually makes it worth your while.
Have you used this and have useful info or just speculation based on price?

As a seasoned gold prospector, I wouldn't use this for finding gold, even the $300-$500 detectors are just OK at it.
This would be great for locating property markers, coins, etc.
If you want to find gold, spend about $1000 and get a Gold Monster 1000.
