I hated the Contend 6's. I wore them once and then put them in the donation pile. Such a downgrade from the 5's. Pay the few extra bucks for the 7's. Trust me there is a reason why they are pretty much giving the 6's away.

If the SAVINGS code is not working for you, it is likely because you chose a different color. Only the colors listed in the OP will accept the code. Look just above the area where all the color options are displayed, if the code will apply there will be some red text that shows: "40% off with code SAVINGS".

Where do these rank in the hierarchy? Last time I had Asics, gt-2000 were the "lowest" real running shoes worth buying. It seems like these companies keep releasing more and more. It's hard to compare with competing brands like Brooks or Saucony

I'd call these off season shoes, like if you wanted to head out for a casual run. They don't really hold up through hard training
