I have this tv and like it to a point.

1. It has blooming issues
2. It grew a brown spot consistently in one area where white is present
3. Every month I have to unplug it and clear the catch or the TV randomly restarts habitually.

Rtings mentions that this 75" version has a different panel than the review is for, so contrast will be worse (and viewing angles better). Thats unfortunate as otherwise this seems like a great price for performance.

Don't buy this. The 2022 75" U7H is $929 at Costco, and I believe might've been even cheaper a month or two ago when it was on sale and there was also a $100 rebate from Hisense. The U7H is also a VA panel, unlike the IPS in the 75" U7G. That's a huge difference, not only in terms of native contrast, but also for larger sizes that are more susceptible to IPS light blooming. Plus, I'm pretty sure Hisense changed from 1-year to 2-year warranties only starting with this year's H models, and it's a 3-year warranty at Costco.

I have the 65" version. Tv picture is great, but unfortunately I had to add my own roku and/or chromecast onto it. It's not a good "smart" TV. It's a great TV picture, but they severely lacked at proper specs for the Android UI to run well. I had tons of regrets the first month or two, but once I simply just added on my own smart device, it solved everything.

Yes, that's a pain. Yes it adds another remote, but it was better than starting over TV wise (we personally love roku interface, but don't like their rokuTV implementations due to similar lack of specs and poor remotes with no numbers)

Avoid.

Get the U7H (2022 model) if you want something much better in the same range.

I have the same tv 65 inch version and I haven't had any of these issues, except ghosting. But nearly every hdr lcd has these issues.

I've had mine for a year and agree with the blooming issues. Fortunately I don't have the others you mentioned.

Ah damn, good catch. Almost ordered it for my parents because the value seems really good, but 65U6H for $480 goes back to the top of my list.

That is a lot of TV for the money. I've been thinking about upgrading my projector eventually, but at this rate maybe I'll just be able to buy a 120" TV by then. The only limit is the height of the door to get it into the house
