Except you're buying directly from TF, no need to be a new customer.

OK. But there's no point of "directly from TF" and "no need to be new customer".

Buying from HSN being a new customer saves $20.

See the posts from SD'ers trying to be second-time customers.
Many TF users constantly buy bundles to extend their service and harvest the t/t/d. And they find it difficult to navigate the new customer hurdles after their first purchase. I bought my HSN new customer bundle in Sept. 2020. Haven't bought another bundle from HSN since. I've bought 3 phone bundles from TF at the same time. And I'm only a casual TF customer. There are plenty of more serious, serial bundle harvesters than myself. If HSN works for you, great. It's not a one size fits all proposition.

You misunderstood the deal. "New user" meaning "new" HSN user.
You are still an existing TracFone user and you still add the new line to your existing account. But you are "new" HSN user.

Buying from HSN using $30 ships you exactly the same package at your door step than that from Ebay TracFone store.
You buy exactly the same thing from Ebay for $20 more and that's it.

Can I buy the 2-Pk Tracfone Orbic phones. Activate one first for one year. Then after a while, activate the 2nd one to the same number to extend the service for one more year? In that way, I get 2 years of service for $30. I will actually use my own phone, not the Orbic phone of course.
