I've had two pairs and honestly feel like these were a fad shoe that have gone out of style. Both pairs pilled and eventually developed holes in the toe box with regular wear (no sports/running). Would not recommend.

In my experience, the Mizzle waterproofing has two effects on the fabric: it becomes stiffer and doesn't stretch as much, and it also makes your feet sweaty if you don't wear socks (which makes sense since water can't get out very well, either).
The waterproofing does work pretty well, but it definitely comes at the expense of comfort.

Have to say I am loving all of the Allbirds deals lately!

For people not sure about the wools or the mizzles all I have to say is they are warm! I have a pair of wools and mizzles, plus a few trees.

The wools are warm, great with or without socks. They stretch a bit so I recommend sizing down. Example, the trees I wear a 11 but in the wools I wear a 10.

The mizzles are great for colder weather as they are very warm, socks are needed or your feet will sweat a lot! The waterproofing works very well and sizing seemed true.

The fabric doesn't really wear well and the sole is quite smooth, so very slippery on wet surfaces. Just an FYI.

Not sure if other people have this experience, but I got a pair of the wool runners a few months ago and it had a completely different feel from previous years. Way less comfortable and "cloud-like".
