What is the point of this when their disclaimer essentially says that it is not accredited, and it is not a substitute for a practical first aid course, etc., etc.?

I think this is good for common knowledge, i.e. bystander good Samaritan situations. Def not for healthcare professionals

Better than nothing for just in case you need to use it at home. At least until you can find the time to get the real course

I took an accredited FA/CPR/AED course last year and I can say without a doubt that I left the course with no more practical knowledge than when I went in.

I was in a hotel conference room with two other people and a very mechanical instructor who definitely didn't want to be there.

If you just want knowledge, have at it. If you need certification for work, most workplaces won't accept this. If they scrutinize your certs, they'll generally want to see AHA or Red Cross.

Then again, it's free. So you might as well give it a shot. The most you'll lose is time.
