My LG OLED has better apps speed than the fire tv stick 4k max. I only use the fire tv stick for any customized software on androids or something.
That's where no TV apps come close to the firestick

On the product page it showed STREAM22 which worked. Also used Amazon Chase Visa which gives 10% cash back on this device ATM, like getting a rebate on the tax.

Uncle Jeff still wants 50 bucks for this even tho the $20 onn box exists

I'm hoping that this is just supply chain issues....

EDIT: From the comments of that post:
"Nobody is talking about the Walmart deal with Comcast and Charter? Those two companies are partnering with Walmart, which will be carrying their pair's Xumo devices. Seems to me like that marketing deal may kill the Onn boxes."

I was initially thinking the Fire TV Stick 4K Max specs would be best for main room/living area TV since it has the most ram and highest spec cpu/gpu of the lineup offered. But then you have to consider Apple TV has 3GB of ram, and the new XiOne streaming box has 4GB ram (xfinity's new 4k flex box).

Unless there was a convincing comparison video I wouldn't think Fire OS 7 helps keep the Fire TV Stick ahead of the pack in performance. If the apps for cache clearing really do help speed it up then it's a nice deal for $29.99 especially for an older smart TV.
Ram is not an issue for ftv as tombstone is on by default. No need to have many background processes running.

You want these to work optimally? Add a cache, app, with memory clearing app to your list and use it at least daily. For reasons that God and Bezos only knows, none of the sticks or cubes let you manually close apps out of being loaded into memory, along with cache, etc. A clearing app is a MUST if you want top performance, especially with high resource apps like Kodi. IT REALLY MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
What app? We have the Fire 4K and the Max model and they both feel meh. Apple TV feels the most snappy. Nvidia Shield TV is somewhere in the middle.

Yes, we have all 4 different streamers. At this point, I'm surprised that Samsung hasn't released one yet.

Sounds good on paper. Makes no difference in real life use.

In a blind test, nobody would be able to tell the difference.

Would that be comcast as in xfinity, or comcast where that branding still operates (midwest and I believe north east US)
