If you're the part of the "I WILL PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR CONVENIENCE" crowd, why are you even here? Why are you bothering complaining about these Firesticks that literally cost 1/4 the price of the Apple TVs you prefer? Are you really naive enough to think that the two pieces are hardware would perform the same way? Get a grip. Better yet, get off Slickdeals because you should be browsing Apple's or Best Buy's website instead.

Internet points matter very little, so I wouldn't worry about it. Regardless, I do appreciate your comment; it's nice to see some sensibility.

Yes, we have all 4 different streamers. At this point, I'm surprised that Samsung hasn't released one yet.
The one I use is Fast Task Killer. It automatically closes all open or recently used but not quite actually closed apps, it clears out the cache and RAM. No BS here, guys: It does make a huge difference. Without it, Kodi runs like choppy crap and is useless, for example, but after running FTK, Kodi streams a 4k REMUX 80GB movie perfectly via a normal 5ghz wireless connection.
It truly makes no sense at all that Amazon Firesticks or all types doesn't actually let you manually close apps on its own. Of course, it also doesn't make any sense that not even the newest version of Fire Cube doesn't have Gigabit ethernet.
I still like the 2019 version of Shield best overall, even the Apple TV, especially since Apple TV doesn't do DTS sound, among other shortcomings.
Anyway, get the Fast Task Killer that is free anyway and run it and your freed up resources will make your Amazon device perform better.

In a blind test, nobody would be able to tell the difference.
