I bought 5 philiphs diamondclean from Costco (still expensive) and all of them start to have charging issue after 1 year.
Taking in account the price they charge for this product, it is outrageously a rip-off. I will stay off this junk
Maybe you got some duds? I've owned many over the years, never had a charging issue with any of them. In fact, when I go out of town I never take a charger because I know the battery lasts a little under two weeks w/o a charge.

Side note: I've never had any charging issues with Sonicares. I bought the Costco diamondclean two pack April of last year (as well as Costco's oral B 2 pack; my first oral B ever.). Used both a couple times a day, Sonicare holds its charge for two weeks; Oral B holds it for 1 week. However, Oral B appears to.be more durable. My Sonicare's metal piece got loose. Called Sonicare for warranty submission, but they suggested I try going through Costco first because of their great policy. Returned to Costco and got my money back. The diamondclean again is on sale for $180 until 12/5/22. Not sure if I want to go down that route again, but I also have so many new Sonicare brush heads.

TLDR the only thing that matters is a good quality battery
The model I had uses a glass cup as your charging cradle which also makes no sense and is disgusting at the same time
The oral B is much better in terms of longevity but I stopped using it since the brush head would accumulate black mold and gunk since there are holes/openings in the head. I had a cough for a few months that eventually went away once I switched back. Not entirely sure if it was the cause but the only reason I could pinpoint. The sonicare is sealed completely with no holes or crevices for the part that goes in your mouth making it way more hygienic.
I hated this brush, but mold shouldn't be an issue
These sonic care brushes are like vibrators or hair clippers. It doesn't feel good to hold it, and it doesn't feel good to brush with it.
If you like putting vibrating things into your orifice, more power to you, but no one in my family seems to be into it because we all stopped using it within a month and switched back to oral B

I put it in the charging glass cup only when the light turns yellow. This product looks like a scam. Your money would be like being flushed into the toillet.
Folks who are breaking theirs are likely using too much pressure. With these brushes, you need to apply very gentle pressure. Change the brush head every 3 months.
It works like a charm. My dentist visits have become a lot easier since I have been using this brush.
Kudos to Philips for making quality products that last (also have a Philips soundbar that just wouldn't die).

The app was actually useful to me, dentist said I was scrubbing too fast but app helped me kick that habit by warning me when I did so.
Only complaints are the TongueCare+ brush head is impossible to find and sometimes brush heads will break early (loud noise), but very overall happy with it.
If I didn't already have the 9750, would get this for the compact travel case... The one that came with mine takes up too much space, but battery lasts 2 weeks so mostly leave it at home.
