Good price. Just bought one and it's on the way. Amazon has it on backorder so you'll get it January, but Best Buy should have some in stock for immediate ship.
Thanks OP. $219.99 on the Canon website as well. A relative has the older 445DW and it is rock solid. Have to make sure that the FW is updated as the OEM one was buggy.

The same can be said for any printer. The OE toner or ink costs more than the printer.
However, there are numerous generic cartridges available for this printer in the $30-$35 price range on Amazon.
It uses the 057 cartridge, not sure why anyone would have a hard time identifying that.

Thanks, just had a Dell all in 1 laser die and looking for a replacement that takes generic toner. From what I've been reading, many of these printers are pushing ink subscriptions and/or cartridges requiring chips, and wasn't 100% sure if this model had those limitations.

These would be about the best deals going on right now in the B/W Laser world right now. Still kind of slim pickings on Lasers right now. Not really any Color Laser deals right now.

Thanks very much, appreciate the suggestions, saved me a lot of time. Will probably go with the Brother as Amazon reviews mention that you need to mess with a toner chip for the Canon: "You CAN buy knock-off toner cartridges for a reasonable $50 online, but you will have to remove the chip (apparently not a difficult process) from your empty Canon toner cartridge and place it in the knock-off for the replacment to work, not a process that fills me with confidence."

You can bypass the toner chip message for the Canon, by going into the menu.
In fact, Canon even published how to do it. Because due to recent chip shortages, even Canon stopped putting the chips into the real cartridges, and put a note in the package on how to bypass the message when replacing the cartridge.
On the other hand, the Brother is a real workhorse, with dirt cheap generic toner cartridges. It is probably the lowest cost-per-page laser out there.

Also, this Brother is a workhorse with even cheaper generic toner for $170. But the printer has manual keys and one line display, rather than the nice color touchscreen like the Canon.
