I am not an expert but while ddr5 faster by 4 to 10% i would take the the more ram, take the ti over the base and the larger ssd here.

Don't overthink too much. Determine what's the most important factor first and it's easy to make decisions. If gaming is the most important, then Costco deal is better. If you just occasional gaming, then stick with Lenovo since you can add more to it later.

Remember as previously mentioned, hp can not really add stuff, plus its only 600 watt system. So if u are ok to stay with stock config, HP is good. Personally I don't like hp pc since they tend to break easily, but you are covered by Costco so that will be a very high incentive for me to get hp if I am in market.

I bought the Lenovo from Best Buy on Black Friday for $1000. I see this is $1000. This Costco HP has 32 GB DDR4, vs the Best Buy Lenovo 16 GB DDR5 (which I would up to 32 GB). The Costco HP does have a 3060Ti vs the Best Buy Lenovo 3060.

Thoughts? Should I get this HP Costco instead?

I picked up the $700 Costco AMD deal. I don't think this $1k Costco Intel is worth $300 more, unless you need the ~10-20% increased overall system performance. However, the price is good for a pre-built. You'd end up slightly more if you built your own right now with similar specs; less if you hunt for deals over a period of time. You also get better upgradability with this machine but then few people upgrade things other than memory or maybe the GPU when buying pre-builts.

I would disagree, I would say far better video, faster ram, quicker/better cpu?, More cores, more expensive chip, more ram slots, standard parts, and the extra m2 slot for ssd.

The only thing better on the Costco HP amd system is that is has 1 or 2 open sata slots. This HP Intel has none. I looked at the AMD but passed because it had very limited upgrade options.

I agree; the HP would be better suited for my purposes, as well.

3060ti way better, closer to 3070
32Gb Ram with 4 slots
600w psu
2nd m.2 slot
Tower cooler and bigger case
1tb hdd

If you want the best budget deal its the $699 hp with 6600xt.

thx. missed that the lenovo did not have a hard drive. The hp is compltely not expandable according to the reviewes. I dont know if lenovo is. there is not even an extra sata port for a second SSD.
I will be using it for lightroom and premiere pro, plus general use. not a gamer. but having a faster processor and video card really helps with video.

You can swap the included 1td spinning disk with any data you want, and there is an open m2 expansion. Drop 1, 2 or 4 tb in there...

Only major expansion issue I see is the no open sata port.
