I usually buy at Kroger when they have their sale (percent off has gone down lately, I think last time it was 12 or 13% off) and 4x fuel points, but I have none left and my payment is due in a couple of days so this came in handy. I had a target circle offer for $30 back when I spend 3x $90. I made 2 transactions with 2x $50 for $92.50 each, and 1 transaction with 2x $60 for $111. This yields $320 which covers me for two month (5 lines for $160). Once I spend the circle bonus this will have cost me $266. Not too bad. The circle offer came through already btw in case anyone is wondering if phone cards qualify.

I feel like I have been cheated. I bought a $100 Target gift card -10% and I could not use it on this deal. Then I read all the red card this and that and all I have is 3% AMEX with each purchase. Then I can't redeem my circle rewards towards these gift cards. I guess I will have to buy another 4K TV. I still feel cheated. I tried to work the system and was blocked in every way.

Target is ROUGH on how you can use gift cards. I definitely don't see T gift card as cash like I do Costco. Really hate Target for 90% of things they offer.

I still bought the prepaid cards but $55 variants. I am working on another $10 circle bonus. The Prepaid cards reach the $50 threshold but I doubt the $100 Target gift card purchase counts. So I have to spend $50 on another prepaid card. Will wait for the standard $5 off 50 deal.

No, you're fine . He's talking about a different situation with low $ amount cards on AT&T month to month plans, not Annual plans like your son.

Log in to the account and it should show the expiration date. If you used large denominations $100+, it's good for a year in your account. If for some reason it expires before it's due next year, contact customer service for help.

Omg, thank you. I gave my son an earful about just staying on our plan but he insists. I do it for Christmas but I activate ASAP to avoid headache. Family is used to getting early Xmas presents these days. Haha.

I went in to "make a payment" where the balance was $300 until the balance went to $0.00. I think it already applied to next year?

Edit: wait I see. It says expires dec 4, 2023. Payment will be before then. It shows that for the full $300 even though I bought 2x$100 and 2x$50. So probably fine. I'll keep my eyes on that arbitrary expiration date next time. These companies are so greedy. Thank you!

No you can't...you need to port out to another carrier then port back in probably after a month or two I'm not sure. I took the visible iPhone 14 deal in September and I just tried to see if they let me port back to this 16GB prepaid plan...and looked like they let me. However I'll wait for another 2 weeks as I just paid for this month with visible.

Sometime you work the system and sometimes the system works you.
It's been 2 (or 3) years since Target allowed refill cards to be purchased with gift cards. It used to say it was excluded in the Description but I guess it's been so long ago that they've eliminated it.
