So what do people use these for that justifies the high price and the processing power? The 8GB/256GB MacBook Air M1 has been on sale from $750 to $850, which seems like a better option if you just want to edit photos and videos and do other tasks that require the processing power and a keyboard/trackpad. The M1 is overkill for media consumption. What else is so great about this particular iPad? Am I missing something?
99% of people won't use iPad for video editing. M1 is an overkill for 99% people. Go buy previous gen iPad if if you can find a deal that saves you several hundreds.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. I'd just buy a MacBook if I wanted to edit photos or videos, and for everything else, a cheaper tablet is good enough. A MacBook will also have better resale value compared to an iPad
