DeWalt website description makes the Atomic sounds better than the XR. Both are brushless and are 20V. Battery on the XR is slightly larger.

I think that if you pick the "with 14 drill bits" option, the price actually comes down to 155$

It depends. Atomic DCD800 is better than 791, but atomic 708 is less powerful compared to 791

XR is better made, has more power, and a metal chuck on the drill. They are a little bigger and heavier than the atomic. They come with 2.0ah batteries which are nicer than the 1.5. 2.0 has charge indicator on the battery, 1.5 doesn't so you don't how much battery you have left. $179 is a good a deal as you find that's not sold as third party. I will say that the atomic stuff is a newer design than these particular XR tools. The atomic has better "safeties" that makes the tool cut out so it doesn't over heat. I would hands down pick the XR kit over the atomic.

This a 1/2" drill and 1/4" impact driver. Made for driving deck screws or certain lag bolts. Not not going to reliably take lug nuts off.
