23db rating is not ideal for the relentless noise of an indoor range.

You want 30+ for indoor. This would be ok for outdoor pistol, but I wouldn't do more than that.

I use similar ones over AirPod Pros when I'm using power tools, shop vac, and blowing leaves. The hearing protection hits the stem of the AirPods but it does work - albeit with a bit of a hassle. Used this way I can listen to podcasts with no problem regardless how loud things are around me.
Thanks. Gonna get a pair and try it out with my anker buds.

True. You can double up with foam earplugs which helps. I keep a small ziplock bag of foam earplugs in my range bag. I give them out to people who use the cheap muffs the range lets people use for free if I see them reacting adversely to all the noise. I personally use 34dB rated muffs.

Seems like these would be adequate: https://www.noisyplanet.nidcd.nih...ck-rallies [nih.gov]

Certainly far better than using your hands, and could be supplemented with ear plugs if needed.
I have those. Super tight and uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

Thanks op. Got a set. Warning for those with big heads. The critical Amazon reviews mostly complain about these being tight.

Mine came today. They are very effective at blocking sound but they look incredibly cheap. I think the plastic will crack if I look at them wrong but for the price, they are pretty good.
Edit: wanted to add comfort level is about a 6 out of 10

Bezos has enough money he doesn't need to use cheap Amazon crap.
