I was able to place an order. It's too tempting to pass. Time to sell x-s10 and 16-80 that come with this camera and perhaps I'll only end up paying a few hundreds more for this. It'll be a major upgrade from x-s10 for sure!
Iirc when this deal was found there was only 1 left in stock lol. I was thinking for too long and someone else snatched it but i ordered while it was back ordered. Mine has a ship date of January 18. I'm skeptical that this will ship though.
I know this camera is meant for photography, but how's the video?
The XT line is now a primary stills camera with very good video capabilities. The XH line is their video focus camera that is very good at stills. The XT-5 can do 4k/60 vs the XH2 can do 4k/120 and 8k/30
The 16-80 is not the standard kit lens. Fuji's kit lens is the 18-55. The 16-80 is an upgraded version
The 16-80 is not an "upgraded" version of the 18-55. Both are still sold in parallel.
I didn't say it was "THE" kit lens, I just said it was "a" kit lens.. As in the T5 comes "bundled" with the lens, in either the 18-55 or 16-80. Neither are capable of taking full advantage of the T5 sensor.

I honestly haven't shot a single video, I'm also really not into video at all so even if I tried it would probably be mediocre but if there is something specific you'd like me to try video wise on the xt5 though I'm more than willing to, I have the 16-80 f4 Fuji lens, viltrox 23mm 1.4, viltrox 56 1.4, rokinon 12 2.0 currently, If there is one lens over the others you'd have me test, bought a couple more lenses but nothing else I have in hand yet. Photos from the camera have been far better than expected even, I expected it to be good but even in low light this thing has been a champ, probably helps that I generally have a fast prime on the camera but even the f4 16-80 is better than I expected.

The XT series doesn't prioritize video. The closest you can get in the series is the XT4, which added more video capabilities and features but received mixed reviews because the XT cameras focus more on still images. If you want video in mind check out the XH series.
