It amazes me that there hasn't been a class action related to this. Bethesda was suing people for reselling sealed games as new, meanwhile GS was unwrapping all of Bethesda's games, removing the discs, repackaging them with the disc in a paper sleeve and then shipping them out as new items.

I regretfully purchased two switch games and a PS4 game during thanksgiving week and they all came opened. Two are going back, but the third is the P5R steelbook that I couldn't get for the same price elsewhere. The excitement of getting a new game immediately turns to disdain and disappointment and additional work to replace items that did not come in their agreed upon condition.

I believe Amazon donates 0.5% of the purchase price to a charity. I think there is a setting in your account somewhere allowing you to select one of your choice.

When I would work there, they would only do this for a few copies for display. If we sold new games with sleeves, it meant it was one of the last ones.

Thought it was dumb then and still do. If you're in store, you can bitch about it and get a discount.

The worst part about this is that you can't return it once you break their sticker seal, even though it was already open.

But if you're smart, you can just buy seals online and reseal them lol

So true! They act like you are crazy for returning a game because it didn't come sealed. Last time I was returning a used "new" game I asked the employee there if customers often return "new" games because they aren't really new and he acted baffled. He actually told me that he has worked there for years and I was the first person he has ever encountered returning a "new" game for that reason. I started to wonder if I was the crazy one for wanting my new product in new condition.

I one asked them if they had ever encountered this at any other store anywhere. My analogy was about underwear and they got upset. Further, if you try to sell a "new" GameStop game on Ebay as new they will ding you for mislabeling your product. It's not allowed anywhere.

I've complained to the FTC but GameStop replied with some absolute garbage lie and it was closed.

Back in the day, buddy and I went in to GS to pick up Battlefront for PSP as it had just dropped. Go up to the counter and see the clerk who is currently playing a store PSP. Ask the clerk for the game to purchase. Kid you not, he pulls the game out of the PSP he's playing and puts in the case and starts ringing us up while saying, "this is a great game, you're going to love it." We couldn't believe it. This was launch day, they only had the one copy, and the dude is playing it while also selling it as a new copy. We just walked out and hit up another store.

On another note, how is this game? Would people recommend it? I'm definitely on the fence with this purchase. If it was $20, no question about it. $30 has my decision teetering.
