    I learned from this reddit thread (subreddit ChromeOS) that this particular processor consumes a lot of power and runs hot. One commenter specifically calls out this chromebook and said they returned it due to the fan constantly running. Perhaps Lenovo has addressed this problem, but I wouldn't bank on it.

    I hope more people are aware of just how locked-down a Chromebook is when compared to a normal android phone.

    I could not even side-load apks that block the YouTube adverts (for example) without enabling a "developer mode" that is almost equivalent to rooting an android phone.

    I sent my Chromebook back for a refund.

    It being locked down is a Chromebook feature that makes it great for kids and older parents or as a cheap, I don't care if it gets stolen, travel abroad laptop.

    I thought to sideload apps you always have to enable developer's mode regardless if using an Android phone or chromeOS device.
