I have one of these I bought a few months ago and love it. The build quality isn't the best, I have a couple of bright spots in the screen and I've taken the bottom off a couple times to upgrade the SSD which resulted in some of the tabs breaking on it. It's great as a daily driver and can play a surprising number of steam games natively.

Man. When it comes to Chromebooks, there are so many models that I get confused as to how to distinguish one from the other. I like to get something decent that I can stick with happily for about four years, but the model specs are so different that I give up shopping. Maybe I just look at the most expensive model.

I have an earlier model and it's pretty good. I do wish it had a fingerprint sensor though...continually typing in a long pin/password is a pain.
Other than that performance is good, speakers aren't bad and the display is nice. It's relatively light which is good, but makes it's durability if you carry it a lot questionable.
I'd recommend it.

I just purchased this Lenovo from Amazon. For $30 more I bought the one with the 256 Gb SSD. I am planning to partition the SSD to allow for dual booting to Mint Linux. I feel like I'm getting a full-fledged laptop because the addition of Linux. I do keep a computer in the house for Windows. The Linux environment with a large enough selection of open source apps satisfies me personally to choose Linux over Windows 11 as my everyday OS instead of Windows. Over time I find that the quality of Windows degrades to the point where it becomes too slow for my patience. It never remains snappy when you first install it. I primarily use the chromebook as a media consumption device, but I love using it for web apps and Google docs. I'm so ingrained into the chromebook ecosystem that chromebooks a have become a big part of my computing life.

Is it actually possible to dual boot these machine? Thought the only option is running linux as a container.
