Fire 8 HD Plus is available for $10 more at $65. The Plus has 3GB of memory compared to 2 GB in the regular 8HD. Don't know at this time if the processors and other specs are the same.
Don't forget to use trade in discount for older Fire Tablet if you have one available.
Either one of the Fire 8 tablets is a good deal at these prices.

Heavily-modified and locked down android. It's an ultra-budget tablet. It'll work for watching videos and playing candy crush. Don't expect much more than that. It's so cheap because Amazon uses these tablets as a loss leader to get people into the Amazon ecosystem, with the hope of upselling them on other services like Prime, Music, Cloud, etc

After researching which one's best for Roblox..fire HD 8 Plus is the way to go. Even the HD 10 is worse than the HD 8 plus for Roblox for some reason.

I bought one a few months ago and I ended up returning it. It's definitely not the best but it will perform basic tasks. I hated the Amazon version of Android. The good news is that it is very easy to add the Google Play store. I did it two different ways with a PC and without a PC. Both were totally easy. This is a good deal for somebody who just wants to use it to watch Netflix or something.----edit..mine was 2021 version...so not sure about the play store on this one

I bought one for a tree of shairing gift last week, its not here yet but they kill you on havubg to buy a case and screen protectors. Anything worth protection the hd 8 is gonna cost another $35 bucks. Get ya everyway

Fire Toolbox doesn't (yet) work with the 2022 models, only 2020 and earlier, however Google Play Store can be manually installed.

Have two hd 10s. One just died at less than two years old. The other still works. Roblox was played on them since day1. It's glitchy for sure on fire hd10.
