Seems like a decent deal on a solid PSU. Here is a review from Tom's Hardware [tomshardware.com]:
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

That's an old list. I found the up-to-date version and this PSU is considered Tier B at this point (it's highlighted gold, so B+). I found a reddit post from one of the authors of this and the LTT list stating they changed websites last year and only update the new site.

Amazon has this as well for 83.99 just have to scroll down to other sellers, it's still shipped and sold by amazon and has prime shipping.

This is not, only the ones over 850W.

Supernova G2(L) / GT / GS =>850W
Correct, I have the GT 650 (Made by HEC) and it was working fine when I upgraded to a G6-850 (Seasonic OEM). Never had a problem with any EVGA products and they stand behind them even if you do.

My EVGA Gold PSU has became very noisy in 6 months. Cheap capacitor issue and it made the PSU's internal fan buzzing.
Contact them, they'll make it right.

I did. I needed a PSU while exchanging, so I bought Seasonic and I sold the replacement. It's a mess.

In fact, I'm still a big fan of EVGA graphic card, but due to my experience, I would not buy their PSU ever again. The capacitors are obscure Chinese brand, and that's the worst choice for PSU's long time reliability. Too scared to get another one. Seasonic uses Nichicon, and that's why their warranty period is such a long period.

I've been through 3 of these psu's, each one died within about a month. Maybe it's just me, but EVGA's quality control seems to be terrible. never had this issue with any other brand.

You got 3 bad psus? Sorry but its got to be you

Disagrees what? Capacitors? Google EVGA PSU NOISE, you'll find many similar comments like mine.

Okay, serious question...

I currently have a 750w 80+ Gold rated Great Wall modular PSU in my system (pulled from an Asus ROG system)

... Does anyone know if this would be an upgrade?

I worry about whether I'm using an ODM version of say an EVGA unit or maybe a Rosewill unit on a pretty regular basis and it's starting to stress me the heck out

Manufacturers use different components (including capacitors) across different products, even within the same product family. If you have relevant information about this *exact* PSU, it's probably a lot more helpful if you would share that than generalized comments. Not to get too into the weeds but where a capacitor is made isn't the be-all end-all of evaluating their quality. There's good chinese caps and bad ones, so just knowing something has capacitors from China isn't always super helpful.

Nonetheless, this one's spec'd with Japanese caps per EVGA:

depends, these are HEC-based units as opposed to the Superflower or Seasonic ones in the G2/G3/GS lines. their BV and B lines weren't particularly good.

Well, then this can be better than the one I had. Realistically, there is no good Chinese caps can be found in low priced consumer products like this, and in fact, many Nichicon and Wima in made in China products have been proved to be counterfeit. Why don't they give us 10 years warranty? Think about it.

Anyway, the only way to know a PSU is good or bad is the measurement of ripple/noise and long time record. EVGA does not pass neither so far.

I'm still using a EVGA Superflower 650w from 2015
I expect a minimum of 10 years and probably longer
I needed another psu for a second PC and just bought Superfower brand.
Before using Superflower, EVGA sold some of the worst psu's around
SF or Seasonic is all I buy - no rebadges
