I had this monitor, not bad for this price. Wasn't particularly good as a monitor or a tv, tries to do both though. Pretty cheap build quality as well.

I was looking for a monitor with a camera for a MacBook Pro usbc. Seemed to be great option until I saw this review:

According to my chat with Samsung support "The monitor camera only works in Google Duo, Samsung Health, and Multiview app on Smart monitor. As per the specification of the monitor limitation, the camera only works in those options, and it doesn't work with any other apps or web browser".

I had this monitor, the camera works with macOS, I used it with both my M1 Mac Mini and M1 MacBook Pro.

No HDMI nor any Displayport connections, this is mostly exclusively media consumption from the apps you can get on the monitor.

Has micro hdmi. $10 adapter will fix that.

Actually read that it includes a micro hdmi adapter to hdmi cable in the box.

A: Yes. From the SAMSUNG M8 Series 32-Inch 4K (S32BM80) manual --
MICRO HDMI - Connects to an external device using the HDMI cable supplied by Samsung (which is a High Speed HDMI certified cable). There are also two USB-C connectors and a power port.

Pretty sure at MSRP, it wasnt particularly the best at anything, but did alot.

Got this monitor and returned it. Truly the definition of "jack of all trades master of none". The speakers are particularly atrocious. I thought it functioned pretty well as a work monitor though. Ended up returning it to Amazon. Would not recommend it personally

Edit: also had nothing but issues with the microphone and video camera "micro slim cam" or whatever they market it as. Made it a pain in the ass for a work from home setup.

This 43" M7 version for $300 worth it though for the size/value? Or all the same problems mean don't bother. I ordered cause wanted a big 4K display with usb-c. I know it's not amazing but didn't seem like I could find better without spending way more, and even those had some trade offs.

(This is for when I want to work in my basement, not my usual office I use 80% of the time)

I'd say it just depends on what your expectations are. I though the quality of the monitor itself in terms of color, brightness, and clarity was the best aspect on the monitor. If I could have gotten the microphone and camera to work properly and consistently, honestly probably would have kept it, but it was a dealbreaker for it to not work because I wanted it for WFH.

M70B version doesn't even have the webcam and mic, so guess that's good! I don't need the tv features at all which is my main worry it's the wrong monitor for me. But guess the tv features aren't bad for when I upgrade the monitor; maybe then it can live a 2nd life as a tv in my bathroom or something.

I'll give it a shot. Cheap enough at $300 hopefully. (Think Samsung offers free return shipping too)

A Big pain in the ass Monitor. Samsung's clever way of selling a 32" TV for 3X price. Don't fall for the YouTubers positives reviewers. Had to return back to Amazon within 1 day of use.
