This looks like an ideal tool for cleaning a car without worrying about vacuuming it first. Wish I hadnt gotten the metal one from earlier this year.

Totally disagree.

I have had the same shop vac for years - used it to clean out the fireplace every spring. Shovel out the fireplace with tool, vacuum out the remainder. I also use it to suck out all the stuff in my pellet grill every few weeks. Works great.

These things are pretty tough.
