This is a good deal for a Fender branded tuner… however, generic tuners for this price are pretty common and a generic tuner is arguably just as good as *any* name brand.
So, consider it a good deal for bragging rights…assuming you're the kind of person who brags about the brand of their guitar tuner

Dirt cheap
You get what you pay for.
The dirt cheap no-name tuner I bought a decade ago outlasted this Fender tuner, which I bought last year as a back up. The Fender tuner felt cheaper, didn't seem to tune as precisely, and due to its limited tilt range, eventually just snapped in half when put under a little pressure.
Not sure what to recommend instead that's in a similar price range, but I won't be replacing my broken one with this one.
I've had or used at least 7 different brands of generic tuners over the last 8 years and none of them work as well as these Fender tuners. They tend to be spotty or slow in hearing the notes and/or the clip breaks easily. This tuner does exactly what it's supposed to do and is a sturdier build than most in this price range, even better than Snark tuners in my opinion. I bought 8 of these just to leave on the headstocks of some of my cheaper guitars, have some ready for lessons, and to throw in gig bags.
I personally find the Fenders to be better than most of the other cheap plastic tuners. I've also found that I use these physical tuners way more than the Fender app. In for another so each guitar will have its own. 👍

Just an FYI… Last time I ordered this, two of the three were DOA. I changed the batteries and still nothing. Just be aware in case you're one of those people that buys them for future use or for gifts.
Well, my kid doesn't have a phone and relies on me so this is much better.
Not to mention that these (generally) work in noisy environments, which a phone won't. If you're alone and in a quiet place AND have a phone, then use the app. Otherwise why do people complain or make snide comments that others buy something?

Lowest I've seen!
