It's double the LED count because it's twice the length. So the LED density is still the same. What's nice about yours is that they are expandable - you can connect up to 3 strings.

The video shows the density of lights and strings, it looks nothing like the picture, the strings are far apart. Not really a wall of light. Get 4'x6' curtain style lights for $8-$10 from Target, they create a more uniform and sort of sweet color and they seem very bright too. Check out target wall if display before you jump on online lights.

Do these change colors while lit up? And if so, is it a rainbow effect or is it just cycling through the colors on masse?

I am not seeing anything comparable that is capable of RGB multi-color options with remote.

You are right they are not color changing, I thought they were, they are just multi-color mixed lights, I have the box at home I think they are considered "net" lights, not curtain style.
