"The P41 Plus is a PCIe 4.0 drive, but the rated sequential read speed just barely exceeds the interface limits for a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. "

You'd be able to play PS5 games off this just fine. Load times might go from 2 to 3 seconds, or 4 to 6. But it will work just fine.

(Not that I necessarily suggest getting this drive for the PS5, but it will work)

Is this good enough for a PC game drive? Idk if it's worth the extra for ~7kMB

If you're looking to benefit from future gaming use like DirectStorage, no.

If it's just for casual gaming or plan to upgrade in a year or so, you'll be fine.

Given the price, it seems to be a better deal than the Kingston NV2. Here's a review: https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...sd-review/.

According to Sony the expansion drive needs to be gen4 AND at least 5,500 mb/s read speed. This drive is a gen 4 but the speeds are much lower than the requirement. So it may or may not work, but even if it does itll be too slow to play ps5 games directly off of.
