So it seems like if all I want this for is to clean my kitchen and no other room in the house I should be fine regardless of firmware version? Just let it map out and once it hits the kitchen door, just mark everything past that as a no go? Kitchen is all linoleum and the rest of the house is carpet.

How would this work for two floors? Would I need two units, or can I just map two locations and move the unit? Thanks in advance for any info

Once it has mapped both the floors there will be 2 maps saved and you can move it to the floor and use that map. Make sure that you get the charger also. Sometimes if ur home is big it will go back to the charger unit to charge itself and then resume.

Have this (Had it). My S5 Roborock was acting up (Error 13 - needed to replace fuse), so I purchased this while waiting on the parts 'in case' I flubbed the repair.

The short: I returned The Wyze after two weeks and 8 cleanings.

The Long: Why? Marginal battery life. Could not complete my whole area (20% carpet - 80% laminate/tile/hard wood. 1350 square feet) Mapping was adequate. Not the same sophistication as the Roborock (Did not divide rooms well, etc) by any stretch. but its not a bad unit overall. It just has shortcomings (to be expected at this price). It did OK cleaning. No issues there but I was disappointed.

(Had the Wyze battery been the only issue I had, I may have attempted to get it replaced with a higher capacity one - likely from Ali - if I could while still in my return window. In the end my S5 fuse repair was successful so the Wyze got returned. And it would have been returned if the S5 was not fixed.)
Great abuse of return policy 👍

I bought this vacuum on December 25th of last year for $200. I love it. I haven't had any issues. I pick up the dog toys before I run it. I have hardwood floors and carpeted bedrooms. It does need a charge after doing the common area, but can do the rest on the second charge (~1500 sf, no stairs). It picks up wherever it left off.

This will prob help some people...I mapped the house a second time after I studied where it went and how it moves. I physically blocked off where I didn't want it to go before it mapped, now I don't have to worry about those areas. Each room is separated and can be vacuumed on command.

Every so often the recliner ends up being slightly out of position and it will get wedged under the side.

I'd gladly buy another one. For what it's worth, I tried a friend's Roomba before getting this, and I couldn't the random pattern. Seems so wasteful. Plus, the Wyze is very gentle when it does happen to bump something (lidar ftw). I don't have any marks on baseboards or flooring from bumps or wheels, and I'm a few days short of having it a full year.

My only gripe... When I got it, it said it was Alexa capable, but it took a months before feature was activated. I can ask Alexa to vacuum, but not pick a room. I've never let it fully run to see if it tries to vacuum everywhere by using Alexa. Besides, I enjoy picking what rooms need to be vacuumed from the app.

That's my honest review, hope it helps.

Picked up from store few days ago, Green and Black Box, latest firmware with multifloor and spot cleaning.

We have hardwood floor with a rug in the living room and it really struggles to move between the floor and rug, got stuck multiple times, thinking of returning.

Had the Roborock E4 before and it had no issues transitioning between rug and floor.

People with negative comments are out of their minds. I've tried the "top tier" brands and this is by far a better vacuum. It is extremely accurate, strong suction and mapping works perfectly. At this price it is a no brainier. It was worth it at the original price. I have two rotties and this is priceless for going off before we wake up and cleaning it all off our floor .

We loved ours so much we got a second one. Both floors of the house are one click away from being cleaned. Love the lidar mapping which means unlike most other robots than zoom around randomly bumping into furniture and walls, this one doesn't do that. It'll occasionally get stuck under something and need help but it usually can do about 600sqft before going back to recharge for an hour and then goes out and finishes. Works great on both the hard woods and carpet. It'll also avoid stairs on its own.

I honestly don't get all the bad comments from people.. ours have been great and at this price I almost want to get a third just in case we need another. Great value at $150.

Great product. Used over 30 times so far, it really helps keep our hardwood main floor/carpet clean, I've used other brands before, but it doesn't work as expected, it also has a lot of functions, it needs to be studied slowly , in general, with this price is cost-effective

Best bet is to "exchange" it in store with the newer version (black and green sleeve).

According to my Walmart person they don't exchange any longer. But they will refund to gift card and then you can use the gift card to buy something else like the newer version from the exact same register. 😆

Good luck. I bought this model last year and it pretty much stopped working after a year of use and gives an error message about the wheels. Wyze support couldn't figure it out. Battery life also wasn't spectacular.
Did you contact wyze support? I think it's very good. I have never had a problem with them sending me new stuff. Even when it was my fault.

I concur. Those people who complain are comparing to $500+ robovacuums
