Mine works well. Occasionally goes back to the charger and doesn't start charging. But generally works well.

Buying another for my 2nd floor

Picked it up last night and tested it today. The LiDAR mapping Works surprisingly well, created a great map of the house. Did a full clean of the designated areas and also tested the spot clean feature which is great to have. The app works quite well and I've scheduled weekly cleaning schedules. We'll see how it goes.

Charging issues are usually due to the base being unstable, either sitting on carpet or having a low baseboard behind so the base could tip back. Put it on hard floor if you can or put a stiff board underneath, just large enough for the vacbot. For the tipping issue, tape something near the top of the base back so it can't tip back.

Anyone have the eufy lidar lr20? I'm debating between these two models for a Christmas gift
Eufy has had some issues with privacy and cameras being acccessed from online links. The verge is very upset with them because they deceived customers into thinking their camera footage was only available on device. I'd go with this just because of how shady they were

Just picked up one of these today, but I'm running into issues. My lower level is mostly medium-pile carpet, and there's no room in my kitchen to place the dock. The problem seems to be that the carpet causes the contacts to be slightly too high for the vacuum to make a solid connection.

I also bought the Eufy LR20 and while I'm impressed with its performance and prefer it a little more over the Wyze, the vacuum will bump against the edge of the dock and turn away for another attempt over and over.

My previous vacuum was the Eufy 25C and it was able to charge in the exact same spot perfectly.

So frustrating! Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I've thought about buying some thin particle board to make a solid base for it, but I'm not sure how much it will help.

I use one on hard wood floor and it works great. I have another for a low pile carpeted floor and have tried it on marble and vinyl. I have it where I don't even think about it, it just cleans while I'm at work. I'll empty it once or twice a month.

Well, despite the white and green box saying multi floor support, and spot cleaning, the firmware version is only 1.6.113 with no update available.

I bought one with store pickup yesterday (Christmas Eve) and got a green and white box that has date of early 2022. I could not get it setup in wyze app in both ios and android though I followed turning off mobile data, etc. After many attempts i decided since this is most likely 1.6.113 firmware model, there is no point in keeping it. Will check few stores around and see if there is a green and black box and buy it. Will definitely return this green and white box. Wish I had paid more attention to the thread as it would have saved me the hassle.

Edit: same Walmart had one green and black box day after Christmas. I returned the old one and lady at Walmart return was very suspicious as I used new purchase receipt to return. she checked everything and gave me refund back to my amex.

New one also had problems with wifi setup with both android and iPad (2.4ghz wifi on router and no mobile data as told) and wyze support was clueless asking for screenshots of error when there was none. After connecting to device wifi app didn't do anything. Finally I turned on a old iphone and downloaded wyze app and was able to setup. I think it is just a bug in android app and iPad app.

I find it odd that a security camera company is also selling "scan your whole house" robots.

Bro companies evolve. They weren't gonna survive selling $25 "security" cams forever. They sell a bunch of other stuff as well.

Picked one up a few days ago. Really impressed with how well the lidar works. It just goes around posts. One thing I've notice when when a table leg/post is painted black, it will sometimes bump straight into it instead of going around it. No big deal at all because it'll just adjust itself. Happy with it so far, also ended up getting the 3 yr warranty... Not sure if that's a waste or not.

Any hardware changes to the current model from the preorder version?
They don't disclose it but there likely are. If you go to firmware release notes page, they have two separate sections.

One for Walmart version and one for non-Walmart. However the issue is that when you order online from Walmart, the order gets directed to ship from factory warehouse especially if you're in california. Then you end up getting the brown box which is really the non-Walmart variant.

If wyze monitors these forums, they really should fess up why some of the original ones can't be upgraded with the new firmware. There HAS to be a pretty solid reason for their concerns and if they want to keep trust of their loyal customers, they really should disclose that reason.

I have three of these and while I always like to get new functionality added via new firmware, if I never get the new firmware, it doesn't change the fact that these are still the most effective vacuums for anywhere near the price. For the battery complainers, who cares? Either split up the house and schedule for different times or just let the robot do as much as it can and then it'll come back to recharge itself before finishing the rest. For people who have it get stuck, fix the item it is getting stuck on or just put a red box around that area on the map.

The Eufy with LIDAR has 3000 pa suction. Is this as powerful?

Also, I think both companies have had security flaws and breaches.
