I started with the original Amazfit BIP several years ago after many years of not wearing a watch (would just use my phone if I needed the time). But found the various health and activity trackers very helpful (I wasn't overly concerned about accuracy -- just wanted a general way to monitor my status). The Amazfit battery life is fantastic. I have tried other watches which require daily or weekly recharging but found that I was too spoiled to bother with these. So finally switched to an Amazfit Verge Lite. Since I have turned off the wrist flip watch display (instead have to manually push the button for the display to light up) the battery lasts up to 2 months. So if you're in the market for an inexpensive basic smart watch with a great battery longevity, you can't go wrong with the Bip 3 Pro.

Nah I've got one of the OG Bips. It's been solid as hell as a daily watch. Battery life is amazing as someone who's never wanted to splurge on one of the major brands.

I think they just go on sale a lot and perform pretty decently as a much cheaper alternative.

I just bought Bip S (it's basically "Bip 2") directly from their website for 36USD after coupon (no tax for me). I like it so far. The reason I got it because it could last up to 40 days without charging (due low energy screen, it's really dim). The new ones last like 2 weeks (bigger, brighter screen).

Amazfit is basically Xiaomi. I can use my Xiaomi login for Bip.

No transflective screen = no dice.

Went from Bip to Bip S (because my Bip died after 2 years). Both still have a transflective always-on screen, and the battery lasts for weeks.

I don't plan on watching videos on my watch, I just need to be able to see letters and numbers on the screen under any type of light.

Lower battery life, and losing always-on transflective screen for a slightly more vibrant display in indoor light is not a trade-off I'm interested in.

(I was considering buying this now as a backup if/when my Bip S which is now about 15 months old, but seeing the display downgrade turned me off. Now I gotta consider if buying another Bip S as a backup is smart, since it sounds like Amazfit has abandoned the transflective displays).

I've been rockin the original Amazfit Bip since they first came out! Besides this Bip3 having an O2 sensor and color screen, is the stated 2 week battery life pretty accurate? I do love the long battery life and always on screen with my current Bip...

bought my bip 3 regular model for 35 dollars on BF. Going from apple watch 3 to this seems like an upgrade with larger screen, vastly better 2 week battery and easier UI. love my bip 3. I dont need a gps for my treadmill runs. I can fully read my whatsapp messages thanks to the larger screen.

Didn't you lose a lot of features going to the Bip 3 from the apple watch? Don't get me wrong, I love my OG Bip and it's still going strong, but I would like to have music control and I'm on the fence with this one because of my OG Bip's longevity.
