wiz is not a random vendor, they are a big brand, though they make lights under a different name, I think both Philips & wiz are owned by the same company signify. I'm using Wiz for last 2 years, i don't have any complaints.

I have some Wiz, you can change the Power on behavior to Last Status so it won't blind you if the switch gets turned off and back on.

For instance I have some outside right now which are set to the color red. They return to red when they get turned off and on again.

Thx OP! I just picked up a Google Nest Hub (2 gen) kit from Walmart for $39 which comes with one of these bulbs. This seems a natural addition to that kit to get me fully started with Smart Home lighting...

I've been through a lot of cheaper than Philips bulbs and these Wiz are great. But my favorite Govee.

(fixed thanks)

Small comparison to Govee and Wiz, Govee has a better app.

But I'm buying a couple boxes for other non-bedrooms lol

I saw these today at Walmart. They also had some Nest Hubs, with bulb. If they had been zigbee, I'd bit, but not for another wifi smart device from random vendor.

But this is a great deal, the only negatives if you use these to replace an on and off switch. If the power goes out and turns on, you will be blinded by light, white bright light. Very annoying if your sleeping in that said room. Lol

Easy fix for that. Go into the bulb settings in the Wiz app and change power behavior to "last status".

I'm deeply vested in ZigBee myself. That said, one nice thing about these that I discovered is that they have local control. Color spectrum is quite good. They can't hit deep purples like Hue, but other pastels look great. Being able to dial in fades and scenes are surprising bonuses as well.

These Feit are $14.99 [costco.com] in store at Costco, how do they compare? My son has the Feit and loves them, and I've been considering them too for me.

Even if you set the bulb to the last status when turning back on? I would think if it was off as it's last status if wouldn't come back on with the power. I have mine all set to last status but our power rarely goes out. The bulb has 4 memory options basically but you can setup under POWER SWITCH the Power On Behavior. Make sure set to Last Status and not WIZclick.

I might go tell one to turn off and then flip a breaker off and on as see if it stays off or comes back on.

I have about 35 of these Wiz bulbs in my house. They are all always on and on wifi. Sometimes commands don't get to one or two in a group (out of 4-10 in a group) so you need to set the light mode a second time.

Hopefully getting a dedicated "smart things" router will clear up the traffic and help these out.

I also have some Hue bulbs. These are definitely not the same, but are definitely worth more than 10% of a hue bulb.

In for 5! Absolutely love color bulbs and although I've got a bunch of Hue bulbs, since these directly integrate with home assistant, I'm down to replace all I can with these, especially at this price. Thanks op!
