wiz is not a random vendor, they are a big brand, though they make lights under a different name, I think both Philips & wiz are owned by the same company signify. I'm using Wiz for last 2 years, i don't have any complaints.

I have some Wiz, you can change the Power on behavior to Last Status so it won't blind you if the switch gets turned off and back on.

For instance I have some outside right now which are set to the color red. They return to red when they get turned off and on again.

Thx OP! I just picked up a Google Nest Hub (2 gen) kit from Walmart for $39 which comes with one of these bulbs. This seems a natural addition to that kit to get me fully started with Smart Home lighting...
Thanks, might as well get these.

I've been through a lot of cheaper than Philips bulbs and these Wiz are great. But my favorite Govee.

(fixed thanks)

Small comparison to Govee and Wiz, Govee has a better app.

But I'm buying a couple boxes for other non-bedrooms lol
We're on the same page as I've tried several smart bulbs and Wiz and Govee by far are some of the best with bang for your buck and features.

But compared to Hue and Zigbee they are junk. I don't understand why any one invests in any of these smart light setups where they need WiFi 2.4 to operate. I mean for one or two bulbs ok. But if you have a whole house and everything setup you need Zigbee or it becomes a mess fast. There's a reason people continue to pay the Hue tax and premiums.
I've built out my network with Ubiquity AP's and have plenty of overhead on the 2.4ghz network to spare, and I can just more AP's if I needed to. The cost justification of Hue and ZigBee/Z-Wave vs WiFi just isn't there, sure it eats up 2.4ghz airtime, but at this point, 5ghz is pretty much always used for actual work, and since these devices only need very short intervals of airtime, the congestion isn't bad. Catch me with 50+ wifi smart devices integrated with home assistant and not a single issue with WiFi. 😊

Man, I just bought two of these bulbs for $10 each at Home Depot! This deal ought to make up for that.

These Feit are $14.99 [costco.com] in store at Costco, how do they compare? My son has the Feit and loves them, and I've been considering them too for me.
Same question here.

It was $18 on Black Friday. This is even better. Bought these from Costco 3 years ago, they still work well. The app is simple to use. On the other hand, my Wyze smart bulbs stop working after a few month.

Adding more AP doesn't give you more airtime/bandwidth if you already used up the 3 non-overlapping 2.4 GHz Channels (1,6,11). Adding a 4th AP meant reusing a channel that just add to the noise and more contention for airtime usage.

Same question here.
Bought 4 Feit bulbs from Costco a year ago - 1 had the wifi completely stop working, 1 is in the drawer as last resort replacement and 2 are still set up but piss me off daily because they constantly disconnect from the Feit app and Alexa can't control them. I end up having to manually turn the remaining 2 on/off to get them to reconnect and even then they sometimes don't come back fully without another reset. Will not buy again.
