apparently though on paper, the DA v3 pro and Viper v2 pro are both equally the best mice on the market? switch and speed wise
you and I are probably similar where we'll benefit from getting this mouse for now and getting the v3 pro in a couple years when it finally drops from 150 to something like 80
edit: difference is like g pro wireless (my current) vs the g pro superlight except the razer pros are apparently better on paper than the g pro superlight (bc of sensors, lighter, and usb c while superlight still has micro usb)

also apparently the DA v2 pro had bluetooth capability but the v3 pro will not (probably to save weight somehow). there's also a DA v2 X that's powered by AAA batteries instead of rechargeable and lasts 235 hrs and the DPI sensor is located above the scroll instead of below but I'm not sure how the batteries change the weight on those
I might be wrong but I think this viper ultimate was a crowd favorite replacement for g pro wireless and was an easy pick over the DA v2 pro but when it comes to the latest models for both lines, the DA v3 pro is actually pricier than the viper v2 pro and both seem to be garnering equal attention
I generally prefer ergo mice, but at this price I'll give it a shot.
Would like a DA3, but I'm not anticipating a price drop anytime soon from it's $150 retail.

I'm at that stage of bitterness where I'm hyperfocused on a product that won't repeat a previous pain point for me hahaha hopefully this viper ultimate doesn't give me any issues you faced
