Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

They changed HSI availability with this deal that makes low end plans (ONE) unavailable for HSI in the area now, so we don't get to the chat screen you refer to.

I'm still in my promotional free first month. I called and spoke to someone. They told me that they could not apply the promo code to my existing service, but that I could set up a new Home Internet "line" and apply it there.

Once I receive the new modem, I will call and cancel my existing service, and mail back the "old" modem. No mention of the $100 prepaid card.

I just called 611. I am on the ONE plan with 3 lines and several stacked promotions. The customer service guy had no problem signing me up for the plan. If they refuse just call and get another person to help you.

Took 32 minutes on the phone, but I was able to add the $25 home internet on a Magenta plan. They said they had heard there was a promo, but I was the first person that they had signed up with it.

No one can accurately answer whether this service is better than what you currently have. Take the time to find the best spot for the modem/router when you receive it. The app will assist you. Use Cellmapper dot net to find out where the nearest tower is and what bands are available. Mine is less than a mile away and has b66 (LTE) and n41 (5G). I found putting the modem/router high on a shelf in a second story bedroom worked best, with the rear of the device (Arcadyan KVD21) facing the tower.

If anything even if you try it out and it is not for you, you may be able to contact your current provider and inform them you are contemplating a switch to T-Mobile, and they may offer you a lower price for the service you already have.

Good luck to everyone except those that will be connecting to my tower. 🤣
