Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Anyone know the speed of internet for this plan ?
I've had this net for about a year now, across a few locations and the bottom line there is that it varies. Location will play a huge role in stability and consistency of connection. Since I didn't have a densely populated area, I was pretty far from the tower and my ping suffered. 125 down but also 120 - 200 ping for most games. Just like what others have said, it's location lottery. Either you win big or your area is unservicable and cancel.

It must not be a West Coast thing. I can't get it at my primary home in OC California or my 2nd homes. I'm on a waiting list. Oh goody. Great deal for those who can get it. Peace

Called 611. Got both promotions: $25 Home Internet for life and $100 virtual GC. I have one line, Magenta 55+.

More info: I cancelled my Wi-Fi Hotspot. That Hotspot was $20/mo for 5GB. Unlimited Wi-Fi Hotspot is $50.
Now that the deal has gone live, and official terms are posted at T-Mobile website, things are clear. The deal is $55 for HSI, then you get $25 monthly credit for life as long as you keep HSI service, which brings it down to $30, then $5 off for autopay, for a total cost now of $25 a month..

Note that you do NOT get $25 internet for life, just a $25 credit for life. So if they raise the price from $55 to $100, you end up paying $70 a month for internet after discounts.

T-Mobile has a price lock guarantee where they promise to never raise the price of your rate.

Honestly I don't know why people think they need GB speed internet. It's nice, but you just generally reach your cap faster.
Uhh, most people with GB internet (fibre), do not have any data caps.

I also tried a second family address in my zip code where I get 500 down and it wasn't available there either. Makes me wonder if my area is already saturated with their home service.

My home and work are both in very rural areas. Both locations have very stong speeds. But I'm not eligible either. Even though I qualify in every way possible. Really makes no sense on who they are allowing to receive the service.

Not sure if I'm just lucky, but the chat rep is giving me $25 home internet even though I'm just a metro customer (and he didn't even really verify that I was a metro customer). So there may be some flexibility there...

Just chatted with a rep. It shows $50 but you will get credited every bill cycle. Also you don't need to have autopay to get it.
You will pay $30 then. Autopay takes off $5 per month to make it $25.

Maybe I'm missing something, but is there anyway we can try this out before committing to it? Seriously thinking about switching from Verizon Fios

Any one with existing TMobile $50 high speed internet user successfully get your plan lower to $25?
Or Any one sign up for 2nd TMobile high speed internet?
Thanks.
I had TMobile home internet for more than a year, chat with rep, they said I need to upgrade my phone plan and add two lines to get from $50/month to $35. They won't replicate this deal for me, any existing TMobile home internet owner had any luck with chat in getting this deal?

Exactly. I've had them for 11 years and my bill has only gone down. 😋

There's no commitment anyway. You can cancel service if you don't like it.
