Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I mean not many places give existing customers cost decrease due to higher traffic or new deals. Welcome to the ISP world?
True but with most phone or Internet services you can stop service and rejoin later to get a new customer deal, but in T-Mo's case they have limited Internet spots and there's no guarantee you can rejoin.

Like I said, if I knew there would still be spots in my area and this deal would still be going on after 30 days, I'd cancel today and rejoin. However, I'm in a densely populated area and it says "spots are limited". With this $25 deal I expect all spots will fill up quickly. Unfortunately my 2nd ISP is unreliable as well, so I need both long term. My 2nd ISP is very consistent in speeds but goes down a lot (a few times per month). T-Mo Internet rarely goes down but its speeds are all over the place from 40 Mbps to 250 Mbps but mostly hovering in the 50-100 range. I can't wait to see how bad it gets with all the spots full soon.

Just like Sam's Club says "new members only" on all their promos, yet you can cancel service and rejoin as a new member under a different email. That doesn't really work on this promo.

I used to have it... And everything online says that you can get 5G with simple choice. The verbiage in the account is usually old and they do not update the verbiage. Have you tried a 5G phone on your account or are you looking at the verbiage from 10 years ago before 5G was available??
Yes I have a 5g phone (iPhone 13 mini).

I did a trial run of the 5g tmo internet over the summer and speeds were much much better on the 5g device than running the same speed test in the same location as my mobile phone using cell service only.

Perhaps the modem in the 5g internet device is better than the one in my phone.

You are one of the few people consistently mentioning this. T-Mobile should give existing $50/month customers a discount just because they are hurting our speeds to gain new $25 subscribers, but they won't. It's like going to Disneyland specifically on an off-day and paying full price, then you find out Disneyland decided to let into the park everyone else after you at half price until it's at full capacity (not that Disneyland would ever do this).
Huh? T-Mobile Internet is deprioritized. Adding home internet customers doesn't affect speeds of postpaid T-Mobile subscribers unless you've blown over your plan's prioritized data cap.

My Centurlink internet service is 60/6 Mbps. The TMO 5G in my area is not particularly fast, but I expect that the modem is able to perform much better than my phone given its larger antena. Can I reasonably expect that I will get better speeds than my existing DSL?
I had CenturyLink as well with 50/5 mbps. T-Mobile didn't work out for me but Verizon is great with speed of 300 mbps.

I'm talking about Internet speeds only. I know cell phones have priority. The more Internet users they add, the slower the speeds for existing Internet users. I didn't mention cell phones.

But I was able to get it if I added a new line

Well, I mean you can't get it on your existing line. You'd have to add the line and keep it for a year it looks like...
Simple Choice doesn't need to add a new voice line for this promo. If you already have a voice line you can get this promo. The Customer Service Rep that "helped" you guys either unporpuse to get comission told you that you needed a new line or was missed inofrmed.

Just read the terms of the promo, they are clear as water. Only need a new INTERNET LINE and to HAVE a voice line. The ADD voice line part if for new customers that don't have a voice line or for existing customers that only have tablet, or data lines a no voice lines.

Sad thing is that you guys are now stock with that new line because as per the promo Terms if your drop those lines you also lose the $25 monthly bill credits for the Internet line.

Oh, that makes sense. Yeah I don't understand their logic. They enabled full Home Internet for my in laws despite wildly varying cell speeds of 3 Mbps -> 200 Mbps. Whereas I usually get at least 25 Mbps at home but only have the internet lite offering. T-Mobile has a few screws loose on the rollout plans here.

2022HINTP10 - I think its very generic code. Once you activate Home Internet, just fill the promotion page with that code and your primary phone number.

2022 HINT P10
Starting November 10, 2022, for a limited time, customers who activate a new line of qualifying unlimited Home Internet or Small Business Internet service will get a one-time $100 rebate via virtual prepaid card.
The rep in chat wouldn't give me the promotion but gave me $50 statement credit. I'll try this promotion code anyway after I activate

That's unusual. I upgraded phones and plan at the same time, so I went from LTE devices on SC to 5G devices on Magenta. I do remember when LTE was rolling out, my phone was faster sometimes on the 4G HSPA+ than LTE! But, everything I am seeing show you should be getting 5G on the iPhone 13 mini. What are your speeds? Do you see 5G or 5G UC on the screen at the top??

It's showing $50/mo for me. Is this still available? I'd love to get it if for nothing other than to have a backup when the Spectrum (crappy) internet goes down (which is often and it's not us, it's them).
Yes, I placed my order this morning over the phone.

Call 611 or chat online.

FWIW, i'm a current home internet customer. It's been 100% reliable since I signed up 1 year ago. I work from home and regularly get 300mbs down. I'm located in Fullerton, CA.

I just signed up for this. I have the T-Mobile ONE plan all taxes included with maxed out account (I got all the free line add-ons in the past).

I was trying to get the deal online, but could not see it.

They then updated the website, but when I checked my address it would show the standard $50 a month rate.

I called 611 and talked to a rep who added Home Internet at the discounted rate.
